4 Workouts for Beginners

Have you ever walked into a gym and felt intimidated by all the gym junkies? And later wished you could workout somewhere private to build up your confidence before hitting the gym, or a fitness class? If you answered yes to those questions, the good news is you don’t have to go to the gym to start your fitness journey. Fitness starts at home. All you have to do is get off that couch and on your feet!

Here are four workouts that beginners can try at home:

1. The 30­-day squat challenge

Get it free on the App Store, Google Play Store or online and start squatting. The app itself is informative and will teach you the right technique to squat. The reps are achievable. By the end of 30 days, check out your new toned and tight booty in the mirror and be amazed!

2. The 30-­day abs challenge 

The 30-­day abs challenge is a great way to get started on the fitness bandwagon. It is something you can do even while you travel. The exercises are easy to do and require no gear whatsoever. Commit to doing the given number of sit­ups, crunches, leg raises and plank time every day and you’re on your way to rock hard abs! Download it here on Google Play or here on iOS. 3. The 30­-day push­up challenge

This one is especially great for women looking to build upper body strength. Often, we prioritise cardio and neglect strength training. 4. The 21-­day arm sculpting challenge 

You will need weights for this challenge and weights are something everyone should have at home for workouts. This app is only available on Google Play store but there are Pinterest versions like this one for you to follow. Again, like the other guides, it is easy to follow and won’t take much of your time at home.
